Effervescent tablets, powders and granulations require different types of packaging in order to maintain product integrity. We not only offer products in strips, pouches, stick packs and tubes, but we also offer artwork design and structure development.

Packaging Development

Tower Laboratories has a Packaging Development Department that can prepare artwork and develop package designs and structures. Primary packaging structures for effervescent products often consist of foil pouches or strips; tablets can also be packed into tubes. Secondary packaging typically consists of paperboard cartons and corrugate shippers that can be packed via our automated lines.

As you would expect, effervescent products need to be packed into primary packages that control the entry of moisture (otherwise, the effervescent action will begin prematurely resulting in an unstable product). Typically, tablets are packed in foil strips, but they can also be packed in tubes with desiccants. We also produce a number of effervescent powders and granulations, which can be packed into moisture resistant pouches, sachets or stick packs.
